Humbird Hotel, located at Schweitzer Mountain Resort in Sandpoint, Idaho, is a boutique hotel offering ski-in/ski-out access to Idaho’s largest ski area. Completed in 2022, the hotel features 31 guest rooms, each providing breathtaking views of Lake Pend Oreille. The design incorporates cross-laminated timber (CLT), metal panels, and expansive glass windows, creating a modern yet warm atmosphere that reflects the architectural heritage of the Schweitzer basin.
The project was a collaborative effort involving several key partners:

Amenities at Humbird include a rooftop hot tub, co-working space, the Glass Room gathering area, ski locker access, and on-site dining at Crow’s Bench. Guest rooms are equipped with boot and glove dryers, air purifiers, locally crafted soaps, and binoculars for wildlife viewing.
The hotel’s strategic placement in the heart of Schweitzer Village unites existing structures, transforming the area into a European-inspired mountain village with narrow, walkable streets. This thoughtful integration enhances the guest experience, offering both convenience and a sense of community.
