Creatopy CLT Office Building, designed by Vertical Studio, is a pioneering project located in Săldăbagiu de Munte, Romania. Completed in 2020, this 2,393-square-meter structure serves as the headquarters for an innovative IT company, exemplifying sustainable design through its extensive use of Cross-Laminated Timber (CLT).
The building is thoughtfully integrated into the sloping terrain, featuring four terraced platforms that minimize environmental impact and harmonize with the natural landscape. Organized around a central courtyard, the design facilitates a seamless flow from private work areas to expansive public spaces, enhancing both functionality and aesthetic appeal.
A key aspect of the project is its commitment to energy efficiency. The Smartware CLT Office Building is internationally certified to the PHI Low Energy Building Standard (ID 6605), reflecting its low environmental footprint. The CLT construction not only provides structural flexibility and rapid assembly but also contributes to superior thermal performance.
