Palaluxottica is a multifunctional facility located in Agordo, within the Belluno province of Italy. Designed collaboratively by Studio Botter and Studio Bressan, the building was completed in 2018 to serve both corporate events for Luxottica and community activities.
The architectural design draws inspiration from traditional Alpine structures, featuring a wooden frame with cross-bracing elements reminiscent of the local “tabià ” barns. The building’s distinctive pitched roofline creates a recognizable silhouette that integrates seamlessly with the surrounding alpine landscape.
Inside, the expansive main hall is illuminated by large glass curtain walls on the north and west facades, offering panoramic views of the Dolomite mountains. The use of timber not only pays homage to regional building traditions but also emphasizes environmental sustainability.
The facility is designed to host a variety of events, including concerts, theatrical performances, conferences, art exhibitions, and trade shows, positioning it as a central hub for both corporate and public gatherings in the region.
The project was realized with Imolalegno serving as the main contractor, ensuring the architectural vision was executed with precision and quality.
Palaluxottica stands as a testament to innovative design that harmoniously blends functionality with cultural and environmental sensitivity.
